FICTION
 
Since I was a little girl, it's been my dream to write a novel. Over the years, I've started many books but it took me 40 years to finally complete one!
 
Mind over Madi, a Christian Mom Lit, has finaled in three national contests - the 2007 RWA Chick Lit Chapter's Get your Stiletto in the Door contest, the 2007 FaithWriters Page Turner Contest and the 2008 American Christian Fiction Writers Genesis Contest. This manuscript is now complete and my agent, Terry Burns of Hartline Literary Agency, is currently submitting it to potential publishers.
 
Meanwhile, I have written dozens of short stories, some of which have placed or won in various contests. Over 30 of my stories have been or will soon be published in FaithWriters anthologies and three are scheduled to appear in LIVE magazine. I also have two short stories being held by Mature Living magazine, hopefully to be published very soon. Samples of just a few short stories I've written are posted to the right. 

 
A fun project I had the privilege of participating in was Struggle Creek, a Peculiar People project. I wrote the first chapter of this unique novel that was co-authored by 27 different writers, each taking on the viewpoint of a different townsmember, but working together to create one mystery. The book was published through Xulon and is available through Amazon.com and other online book stores.
